Originally from the Bay Area, Michael developed an appreciation for traditional architecture through his time in San Francisco and Berkeley, where classic California Bungalows remain among his favorite residential styles. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, and spent a semester abroad in Barcelona studying at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia.

During college, Michael worked at a blueprint shop, printing and delivering plans for local developers and contractors, and later interned at a residential architecture firm, contributing to custom homes and home office expansions. At TBA, Michael supports our studio through drafting, detailing, and rendering across a range of projects, including new residences, renovations, restorations, and wildfire rebuilds. Outside the office, Michael volunteers with the Asian American Pacific Islander Design Alliance (AAPIDA) and enjoys hiking, biking, and birdwatching.
