Kyra Bauman

A Ventura, California native, Kyra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Linguistics from UC Santa Barbara and a Master of Architecture degree from UCLA. As an undergraduate, she specialized in architectural history, environmental planning, and sustainable urban development; and studied Catalan, German, and Spanish during a year abroad at the University of Barcelona. During her graduate studies, Kyra also earned a Graduate Certificate in Urban Humanities. Kyra is a licensed architect in California, NCARB certified, and received a scholarship to attend the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art winter intensive in New York. She has spent several years serving on the Board for the Association for Women in Architecture + Design and mentoring UCSB students who want to pursue graduate studies in architecture.

Kyra joined TBA as a Design Associate, and now serves as a Project Manager after cultivating her skills in design and technology leadership. She is currently designing a Shingle-Style rebuild in the Pacific Palisades, a midcentury ranch house renovation in Brentwood, and a historic 1920s Mediterranean Revival addition and renovation in Santa Monica. Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking, spending time with her husband and daughter, and learning new languages. She’s also recently taken up hobbies in jazz dance and hand embroidery.
