Kelly Becker

Since joining TBA in 2013, Kelly has grown from Design Associate to Project Manager to her current role as Principal Architect and Director of Design, guiding the firm’s work through her commitment to craft, context, and client-centered design. She leads with a thoughtful balance of creativity, collaboration, and technical rigor.

Kelly earned her bachelor’s degree in Art & Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois Chicago, where the city’s rich history and vibrant modern architecture influenced her early design sensibilities. During her studies, she spent a semester studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, exploring urban infill, community-focused spaces, and sustainable design practices. She went on to earn a master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Southern California, embarking on a path in SoCal’s dynamic architecture and design community.

Kelly is a licensed architect in the State of California, and a certified Safety Assessment Evaluator through the AIA’s disaster relief program. She volunteers with the AIA|LA Women in Architecture Committee, supports the Los Angeles Conservancy, and pursues continuing education through the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) — most recently attending the Winter Intensive in New York City.
