Born in Oakland, California, Jaz earned a Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in Interior Architecture from the University of Oregon. Jaz spent four years in the food industry, including serving and management. Two architecture internships (one in Pasadena and the other in Costa Rica) solidified his passion for problem solving through architecture. Jaz enjoys the creative challenges of design; exploring the environmental effects of materials and construction; and understanding the impacts of architectural work across communities. Outside of the office, Jaz loves playing soccer, basketball, and chess, spending time with friends and family, and getting outdoors to snowboard, wakeboard, camp, and hike.
