The Assignment: This project closely recreates a beloved family home that was lost in the Palisades fire — designed by TBA over a decade ago. We are updating (and slightly expanding) the previous plans to meet current structural and energy codes while preserving the character of TBA’s 1930s Spanish Colonial Revival home.

Currently: Under construction.

Standout Details: This Spanish Revival house is an excellent example of balanced asymmetry, and the building footprint makes effective use of the irregularly shaped lot.

Sustainable Features: New walls are thicker and windows are dual-glazed for improved insulation and energy performance; and a Zone Zero perimeter with fire-hardened materials enhances resilience.
