Project Size: Approximately 5,195 SF including main house, basement, and ADU
Current Phase: Construction Documents

Project Team
Project Manager: Max Rendon
Job Captain: Omar Femat
Design Associate: Cole Persons

The Assignment: This Altadena rebuild transforms a former single-story home into a two-story residence with a completely new floor plan. In addition to fire resilience, the design objective is to create a distinctive exterior while reflecting Spanish Colonial Revival forms and details that relate to its neighborhood context.

Currently: This project has received Planning approval and is currently under review with Building & Safety. In the meantime, we are preparing the bid set to obtain contractor pricing and move the project toward construction.

Standout Details: The project incorporates a fire-resilient design approach while thoughtfully preserving the defining characteristics and timeless character of Spanish Colonial architecture.

Sustainable Features: The residence has been designed with future solar integration, whole-house ventilation, and a site-responsive drainage strategy that utilizes the natural slope of the property to direct rainwater, reducing the need for mechanically pumped drainage systems to the street.
