The Assignment: Our studio was commissioned to renovate a traditional 1940s home, drawing inspiration from the Bahamas. The main areas of focus are the primary suite, kitchen, and office/laundry room. A new pool is also being integrated, which means the existing home’s footprint must be reduced to accommodate it. Maximizing light and views (to the pool and landscape) are top priorities for the project, so our team completed several shadow studies plus interior and exterior massing renderings.

Currently: Construction has started!

Standout Details: The kitchen features folding windows for an indoor/outdoor counter that can also serve the outdoor dining space; new vaulted ceilings; new decorative surrounds for existing fireplaces.

Sustainable Features: PV solar panels, battery storage, and electric (heat pump) pool equipment.
