Erik Evens: 2024 ICAA Southern California Chapter Legacy Award Recipient

Twenty years ago, a band of rogue architects, interior designers, landscape designers, artisans, and vendors made a pact to bring classical architecture back into the curriculum, conversation, and practice in Southern California.

Today, the Southern California Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art has the most robust education program of any chapter in the US. For glimpse of recent lectures, follow this link:

No member has been more instrumental in this achievement than my friend Erik Evens. He has served as Chapter President for two terms. He has chaired the Chapter Education Committee (and is the current co-chair). He has taught this Chapter the elements, rationale, and philosophy of classical architecture, drawing with shade and shadow, the geometry of nature, and much more. He has traveled to Chapters across the country teaching hundreds of students nationwide. He is a Fellow of the ICAA and serves on its National Education Committee.
